Not your boyfriend’s Jeans

Since my boyfriend wears a size 36 waist, slipping into his jeans simply isn’t an option. Boyfriend jeans carry that name because they’re meant to fit like mens jeans: traditionally, they are a little baggy, often distressed and perhaps rolled at the ankles. You’ve seen straight size fashionistas wear them and look fab in them and you have probably also seen plus size bloggers wear them too but if you’re not shaped like most of these gorgeous gals, you might feel like boyfriend jeans aren’t for you. I know I did. After I tried on tons of pairs that just didn’t seem to fit right, I had given up. But alas, I finally found these boyfriend jeans from Forever 21 the other day and girl, let me tell you – They make me feel fab! When I first put them on I thought they were way too small – I had to do the teeny tiny jean dance to get them zipped. They’re a size 20 and I’m really glad I put in the work to zip them up because after wearing them all day, they’ve stretched quite a bit and are really comfortable. A larger size would have been far to baggy for me.

How to find boyfriend jeans:

1. Try on every single pair you can get your hands on.

2. Seek a fit based on your shape:

  • if you’re not super curvy [apple or triangle] look for a pair that runs a little loose down the leg and into the ankle. Click Here!
  • if you’re hour glass or pear, try a pair that has a very skinny leg. Click Here!

3. When in doubt, take a selfie in the dressing room and judge weather you like them based on how the photo looks [this trick has saved me over the years]. bb 1.boardroomblonde.eloquii accessories.rosegolde.f21.bbbb.leopard eloquii.forever21
