Bed of Roses

I grew up in the country. I spent most of my formative years outdoors humming country music. The one song I probably sang most is Faith Hill’s “Take me as I am.” While I’ve certainly expanded my taste in music and fashion, I still love that song. When I saw this dress on the rack, I started humming it again.

“I don’t need a bed of roses, cause roses wither away. All I really need is honesty – from someone with a strong heart and a gentle hand.”  – Take me as I am, Faith Hill

In life, I don’t need roses. My guy actually has a strict “no flowers” policy and I’ve never been one of those flower requiring kind of girls. My boyfriend says, “we don’t do flowers, we do diamonds and designer purses” and thats good enough for me. Despite this admission, I do love a good rose print.
