Chill Bride, Happy Life: A Guide to Stress-Free Wedding Planning

Planning a wedding can be a stressful experience, but it doesn’t have to be. Some brides take the “Bridezilla” route and micromanage every little detail, but not all of us are like that. Some of us are just chill brides, taking things one step at a time and enjoying the ride. Here are some tips for how to be a chill bride and still plan the wedding of your dreams.

First of all, let’s talk about choosing your bridesmaids. Some brides spend weeks agonizing over who to pick, worrying about offending someone if they don’t make the cut. But as a chill bride, you know that your true friends will understand and support you no matter what. So, when it comes to choosing your bridesmaids, just go with your gut. Pick the people who make you laugh, who support you through thick and thin, and who you know will dance their butts off at your reception.

For me, it was very important to make the experience positive for our bridal party, so we elected for minimal events (nothing mandatory outside of the wedding) and I created a planning guide to inspire them and help them find accessories. At the end of the day, I did choose their dresses but left everything else up to them. Here is what my guide looked like (before we changed our theme)

And speaking of receptions, let’s talk about planning the party. As a chill bride, you’re not going to stress over every little detail. Instead, you’re going to focus on the things that really matter to you. Maybe that’s the food, the music, or the decor. Whatever it is, just make sure it’s something that makes you happy. After all, it’s your wedding day, and you should enjoy every moment of it.

Now, let’s talk about the dress. Some brides spend months (and thousands of dollars) searching for the perfect gown. But as a chill bride, you know that there are more important things in life than a dress. Of course, you still want to look beautiful on your wedding day, but you don’t need to go overboard. Maybe you’ll choose a simple, elegant gown that you can wear again. Or maybe you’ll skip the traditional dress altogether and wear something that truly represents who you are. Whatever you choose, just remember that the most important thing is how you feel, not what you’re wearing.

And finally, let’s talk about the actual wedding day. Some brides spend hours getting ready, worrying about every hair and makeup detail. But as a chill bride, you know that your natural beauty shines through no matter what. Maybe you’ll skip the elaborate updo and opt for a simple braid. Maybe you’ll skip the false lashes and rock your natural look. Whatever you choose, just remember that you’re beautiful just the way you are.

In conclusion, being a chill bride doesn’t mean you don’t care about your wedding day. It just means you’re focused on the things that truly matter to you. You’re not going to stress over every little detail, because you know that the most important thing is the love and connection you share with your partner. So go ahead and be a chill bride. Enjoy the ride, and have the time of your life on your wedding day.
