Clearly there’s a trend happening here. For those of you who loved Barbie as much as I did – I give you my interpretation of California Dream Barbie. If she were modern and plus size, she might have chosen a gorgeous bikini from Forever 21, a fab midi skirt from Eloquii and the most adorable Kate Spade tote around as the perfect California girl ensemble.

I’m wearing an Ann Taylor waterfall cardigan from last season and I’ve tied it to acheive this beachy – California girl look. Tying a very lightweight cardigan at the waist is so chic with a midi skirt in spring and summer and it doubles as a non-traditional swim cover-up!
